Engineering & Design procedure

RMT VM design and development activities are kicked-off after the job is launched during the contract review meeting. The Engineering Manager (EM) assign the execution to either of the Project Engineers (PE) with whom a preliminary analysis of the activities is performed. On the occasion job complexity and scheduling are assessed with respect to available capacity and experience required. A Design Engineer (DE) is then assigned the design activities.

Depending on the job requirements and available validations, design-only or design-and-validation activities are planned.

During execution, Design Reviews are called by either the PE and/or the DE. A Design Verification and a Final Design Review may be required. A physical Design Package is used as a recording folder where inputs and outputs are build-up during the progress of the activities. All records are stored also in the Company’s documents repository.

Design activities include development of new products, qualification of suppliers, validation of new designs. All activities are carried out in compliance with ISO 9001 and API Q1, latest editions.
