Ball  Control Valve - Serie 40s

The Serie 40s are the RMT VM product lines of trunnion-mounted ball valve for control application.
RMT VM has engineered three different designs in order to be able to suit every kind of application of ball control valves, even the most severe ones.

Downstream Drilled Spherical Cage - Serie 42

The 42 Serie is a low noise ball control valves line, which controls vibrations for increased flow and assures process stability. This is possible thanks to the attenuator, a downstream drilled spherical cage that reduces the noise.
The variety of orifices in the cage allows achieving a precise control even with high-pressure drop and small flow rate.
Noise abatement up to 20 dB is possible with a single cage construction and up to 25 dB with a double cage execution.

The Downstream drilled spherical cage can be used with:

  • Liquids to help eliminate or reduce cavitation
  • Gas to reduce noise and associated vibrations.

The valve is proposed with forged split body, side entry trunnion mounted design, it can meet the criteria of API 6D, and it is available with self-relieving or double piston effect seats.

MS (Multi Stage) Control Ball Valve - Serie 43

The 43 Serie is the multistage line for ball control valves.
This valve connects the concept of the multistage design, typical of a globe valve, to the high Cv of a rotary control valve.
The adoption of this design allow avoiding noise problems and the beginning of the cavitation since the pressure is kept always higher than the flashpoint limit, by an engineered control of the fluid velocities. This is obtained by the insertion of parallel-perforated plates inside the ball that realize the multiple breaking of the entire pressure drop.
In order to make the plates work properly, it is necessary to control the valve-opening angle: the suggested/optimal opening would be lower than 40-45 degrees.
This is necessary to avoid the fluid to by-pass the plate and reach the downstream side vanishing their effect.

The possibility of customizing on the particular process conditions the internal perforated plates gives to this valve the capability to provide improved performance for demanding applications.
The valve is proposed with casted (standard) or forged split-body, with ASME B16.10 face to face dimension short (standard) or long pattern, and it is available with single, double or double block-and-bleed seat options.

V-CUT® Control Ball Valve - Serie 45

The 45 Serie is the V-cut ball control valves line. The V-CUT shape assures a high range ability up to 150:1, which ensures the controllability of high turndown processes, once fully open it guarantees very high maximum Cv, with an intrinsically self-cleaning and non-clogging design.

Main characteristics:
  • DN up to 40’’.
  • Forged construction.
  • Compact design with casted body, ASME B16.10 short pattern and one single seat.
  • Perfect equal percentage characteristic.
  • Leakage Class V by Standard, Tight Shutoff Class VI on request.

  • Double seated API 6D criteria also available on request.
  • Packing: live loading, fugitive emission compliant.
